Get ready for the annual kaleidoscope of artistic butterflies coming to Fountain Park!

Flutter at the Fountain started in 2020 as a celebration of beautiful butterfly sculptures by local artists to raise money for area nonprofit groups. Yet, Flutter ’24 is unlike any event before it. Now a three-day festival, there are activities for every age as we also celebrate the local heroes who help make our nonprofit organizations successful. Since its inception, the Fountain Hills Community Foundation, sponsor of Flutter, has been able to donate over $150,000 back to the community. That’s a lot of soccer equipment, little league bats, scholarships, and other tools important in a vibrant community.

Take a look at what we’ve got in store for 2024. Whether you’re a veteran Flutter aficionado or just learning about this event for the very first time, you’ll want to join us in Fountain Park April 12-14 for our newly expanded, community celebration.

We’ll be celebrating our hometown heroes, to honor those individuals who passionately and selflessly make a difference with our nonprofit organizations.

Here’s how to take part in all the fun…
Navigate to the FHCF website,, hover over the Events tab, and choose Flutter at the Fountain from the drop-down menu. From there you can:

  • download our Flutter at the Fountain brochure, which contains a day-to-day schedule of our community events,
  • register to be an onsite volunteer, and
  • learn how your business or organization can maximize its exposure as an event sponsor.

Visit our event website,, where you can view our items on which to bid or purchase, including the spectacular kaleidoscope of butterfly creations and limited edition road runners from our 2024 artists, and tickets to the various events.

Plan to attend our events. It just won’t be a party without you! And because we’ve expanded Flutter to a three-day event, you have a variety of fun activities to choose from. We’ve got something planned for everyone, such as:

  • DONOR AND SPONSOR LUNCHEON (April 12) where we will be honoring our “hometown heroes” who keep Fountain Hills nonprofit organizations running smoothly.
  • FAMILY DAY (April 13), Kids, bring your parents! Together you’ll be able to explore all the activities, sports, clubs and academic opportunities available in our community.
  • THE HEROES BALL ANNUAL GALA (April 13), Plan to come in costume to honor your own personal hero. Local actor and business man, Patrick Russo, will serve as emcee and artist Rich Leonard will open the festivities by playing the Star Spangled Banner on “Les Paul”, the butterfly he created for Flutter ’24. Enjoy the inaugural FOUNTAIN FOODIE FEST, celebrating the local culinary cuisine where area restaurants compete in various Foodie Fest ’24 categories. Vote for your favorites! Sami Jack, founder of Sami Fine Jewelry, will present her gem encrusted butterfly “Stoned.” Auctioneer Larry Cohen will introduce a variety of trips, experiences and key butterflies and limited edition roadrunners to be live auctioned.  PLUS — music, entertainment and so much more.
