Sandi McGee

Sandi has been ingrained in the fabric of Fountain Hills since her family moved here in 1978. With her children attending Four Peak Elementary School starting in 1980, she served as PTO president twice; initiating the idea of selling hot dogs at the Fountain Festival that grew over time to be its own physical food stand that brought in much needed funds to the organization.

In 1986 she had an idea to begin a local theater and was the driving force for establishing the Fountain Hills Theater. She moved away from the community in 1992 due to work but moved back to the community in 2004. She became involved again in FH Theater in 2005, serving on the board, Board Secretary, and on several committees. She eventually become President and served as the unpaid Executive Director for one year, helping to guide the Theater through some particularly difficult times. Utilizing grants and targeted donations, as President she led the efforts to implement formal governance, modernize the software systems, network, and all computer equipment; in addition to updating the facility, after a flood, to create a more welcoming and functional place to visit and work. Currently she serves the Fountain Hills Women’s Club.
