The third annual Flutter at the Fountain raised more money than ever before, thanks to the generosity of event sponsors and residents who purchased decorated steel butterflies, Gala tickets, and other auction items.

Barb Hansen won the 2022 Raffle Butterfly “Morphing Like Crazy” by artist Jenny Willigrod. “Renewal” by butterfly artist Vanessa Davisson and caterpillar artist Mykala of the Boys & Girls Club, sponsored by Sami Fine Jewelry, were named People’s Choice.
“We were pleased we did better than last year,” Fountain Hills Community Foundation Treasurer, Mark Dalton, stated. “It means we’ll be able to provide more grant money to additional non-profit organizations than ever before for the 2023 gifting season.” Final results and the 2023 grant amount will be announced in December.
Flutter at the Fountain is the signature fundraising event for the Fountain Hills Community Foundation, which raised given more than $1.3 million to local nonprofits since 1996. Proceeds are used to fund requests from area non-profit organizations, which are vetted by the Foundation’s gifting committee. Applications for the 2023 Giving Season will be available on the Foundation’s website, www.fountainhillsgives.com, in late December.
